These days, the saffron is part of the culinary culture around the world:

-         In Arab Countries (Middle East and Gulf countries), a real Arabic coffee must contain cardamom and saffron, besides it is used on tea and many dishes like rice ad meat.

-          In the northern regions of Italy and south of Switzerland, is necessary to prepare the famous risotto.


           


-          In Sweden, it’s very traditional to elaborate special bread with saffron on the patron saint day, Santa Lucia.

-          In Belgium, saffron is used with many kind of sweets.

-         Finally, in Spain, the saffron is indispensable with several dishes, specially the famous paella (rise, seafood and meat). It is used as well in Asturias  region (north of Spain) in fabada (white huge beans with meat) and other regions like Galicia and Basque Country.
